Pseudo Class 3 Clinical Video
Pseudo Class 3 , habitual or postural Class 3 malocclusion is a result of deflected positioning of the mandible, primarily, as a result of occlusal interferences. The elevators of the jaw will contract till the proprioception mechanism indicates to the brain that there can be no further approximation of the jaws and the inter-cuspation of the teeth is final. In case of interference in the path of closure. the mandible may deviate laterally, causing cross bites, or anteriorly, into a psuedo class 3, till the jaws come in maximal intercuspation.
