Apicoectomy (root end resection)

An apicoectomy may be needed when an infection develops or persists after root canal treatment or retreatment. The procedure takes between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the location of the tooth and the complexity of the root structure. If you are suffering from pain or swelling from a tooth post root canal treatment, you must contact your dentist immediately for consultation regarding apicoectomy.
